Message from Vice-President (Overseas)
It is my pleasure and privilege to serve as Vice-President (Overseas) of my Alma Mater. Established in 1969, Guru Nanak Dev University has excelled in academics, research and sports, and has been recognized as an institute of excellence by the national accreditation agency of India. The University has also set up international collaborations and signed MOUs with a number of reputed universities and institutes.
The GNDU Alumni Association, first created in 2007, has grown world-wide by establishing Alumni Chapters in Canada, UK and USA. Many of the alumni have achieved outstanding success in their career and have settled all over the globe; a number of them being entrepreneurs and prominent professionals in academics and in various industries of repute. The Association is largely aimed at facilitating interactions between the university alumni, faculty and students to advance the academic and research environment. It encourages the alumni to share their knowledge and experience with students by participating in interactive sessions in order to help students progress in their career paths and secure placements.
The University is committed to providing equal opportunities, quality education and healthy campus environment to all the students irrespective of their financial difficulties, which requires additional funding resources. It should be our endeavour to support our Alma Mater for this worthy cause. It is my earnest appeal to all the alumni to work together with the University in providing scholarships to the underprivileged students, creating research facilities, and developing infrastructure for the overall growth of the university. All contributions, big or small, are important and can play a significant role in supporting the career goals of several students.
If you would like to start a lecture series, make a contribution to the university, or have any other questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me.

As a proud alumnus of the University, I have always tried my best to see this University in the top ranks in the list of universities at global level.
